TOPICAL PAIN RELIEVERS
There are many
topical pain relieving creams on the market
today.
At some point in are lives,
we will all experience some type of pain in our
feet, legs or joints. The pain can be from mild to
severe.
If you have the occasional
mild discomfort, or pain in the muscles or joints, a
topical pain relieving cream can be
beneficial.
This is good,
also, for people who are a little reluctant to pop pain
pills.
These topical products are
meant to be a temporary solution, and only for the mild
aches and pains that we all have, from time to
time.
Topical pain
relievers come as gels, creams, lotions or
patches. They are to be applied directly over
the area of discomfort. These preparations are not
intended to take the place of prescribed medication,
should you need that for more severe pain
conditions.
As a topical pain
reliever goes, I really like a product called
“Orthogel”. It comes in either a roll on or
gel.
It does provide deep skin
penetration to help sooth and ease away
soreness. It provides long lasting
results. It is also non-greasy and has no
lingering odor. Orthogel is a favorite of my patients,
which is why I give it my “Dr. Paula seal of
approval”!
I will often
recommend this product to my patients for heel pain,
arthritis pain, muscle aches and
tendonitis.
In my opinion, it is superior to other
similar topical products on the market.
If this one
doesn’t provide adequate pain relief, than there are many
others to choose from. Perhaps a prescription strength product
may be for you. Or, a combination of treatments may be
required. Of course, if the pain persists, or gets worse,
then definitely have a proper evaluation by a
physician.
